Coventry & Leamington Online Chess League - Spring 2021
Building on a successful Autumn Season - for Spring 2021, the Coventry & District League, has collaborated with the Leamington & District League, to run our inaugural joint Online League. It comprised of thirty teams, across three Divisions - one of the largest online league in England.
The joint League began on the week 25th January 2021; Division 1 & 3 concludes on the 23rd March, and Division 2 concluded on the 8th April. We encourage all existing League players to play for their club online, and also encourage players new to chess to join their local club!
Final Entries
DIVISION 1: Nuneaton A, Banbury A, University of Warwick A, Kenilworth A & B, Coventry A, Leamington, Sutton Coldfield A, Shirley and Wythall A. 9 teams.
DIVISION 2: Nuneaton B, Banbury B, University of Warwick B & C, Rugby, Coventry University, Coventry B & C, Stratford, Birmingham University, Shirley and Wythall B. 11 teams.
DIVISION 3: Nuneaton C, Campion School Leamington, University of Warwick D, Rugby Club Juniors, Coventry D, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield B, Rugby School A, B, and C. 10 teams.
Ran over 3 Divisions - Open Div.1 (Tuesday 7.30pm), U560 Div.2 (Thursday 7.30pm), and U480 Div.3 (Tuesday 7.30pm). The time control for games was 15 minutes + 10 second increment.

Coventry & District Chess League - Autumn Online 2020
For the 2020-21 Season, the Coventry & District Chess League ran an Autumn Online League, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We became the foremost online League in the Midlands, with nineteen teams hailing from across the Coventry-Warwickshire area.

The Online League consisted of two divisions, an Open Division, and a U140 Division - open to regular and new chess teams. The time control was 15 minutes plus 10 second increment.

Coventry & District Chess League - Summer Online 2020
The 2020 Summer Online League had teams across the District area playing - Coventry, Kenilworth, Rugby, Nuneaton, Warwick University, and Warwick Alumni Association.
